The Roswell City Council on Monday night took action on two pending water line replacement projects.

The council approved signing a $34,690 contract with Engineering Strategies Inc. for the Grove Way/Bush Street water line project. The work includes lowering the road grade about five feet where the two streets intersect and replacing two water lines. The total cost of the road-lowering plus replacement of two major and several undersized waterlines is some $414,000.

The group also accepted a permanent easement from the Roswell Housing Authority in connection with the Myrtle Street water line replacement project. It will allow a number of water meters to be located out of the pavement area, helping to smooth the progress of the project.
