The Roswell Fire Department will host free classes in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation on a Saturday morning in April.

Classes will last up to 90 minutes each and are scheduled for 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., April 13, at Fire Station 7, 8025 Holcomb Bridge Road, Alpharetta. The department will use the American Heart Association’s Family & Friends CPR Course, officials said.

“This course is for individuals who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card in CPR for a job,” according to a city announcement. “The course is ideal for teachers, students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters and others interested in learning how to save a life.”

Students will learn lifesaving skills of adult “Hands Only” CPR, child CPR with breaths, adult and child automated external defibrillator use, infant CPR and relief of choking in adults, children and infants, officials said. Participants must be at least 12 years old and a Roswell resident.

Space is limited to 20 students per class. To sign up: https://bit.ly/2HKefGT
