Roswell will offer residents a behind-the-scenes look at local government in a City of Roswell Education and Engagement Community program.

The free program is nine sessions over eight weeks, from April 18 through June 9. Each week, participants will learn about one of the city’s departments or service areas – from administration and finance, to parks and community development, to the police and fire departments.

CORE is limited to 25 participants, one per household, accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. An applicant must be at least 18 years old, a Roswell resident or owner of a Roswell-registered business, not running for political office and willing to commit to attend all sessions.

“Not only do we want to help bring awareness and understanding of the city’s day-to-day work through this program, but we hope the program’s personal interaction among participants and staff helps inspire meaningful relationships, engagement and collaboration within our community,” said City Administrator Gary Palmer.
