Rorie named Peachtree City manager

Nov 23, 2015With a standing ovation, the City Council of Peachtree City unanimously appointed Jon Rorie as its new city manager Thursday night, six months after he was named interim manager following the retirement of Jim Pennington.
Formerly the city’s community services director, Rorie was the only finalist for the manager position.
He acknowledged that challenges related to the city’s finances, traffic congestion and infrastructure are ongoing, but crediting the work of fellow staff members, he said, “I think we’re going to get there.”
