No one was injured but a man got away with cash in an early morning robbery at an Avondale Estates pharmacy Saturday.

The man demanded money at the register, and fled with less than $100, according to the Avondale Estates Police Department. He was last seen heading on foot toward the nearby Kensington MARTA Station.

The incident occurred before 9 a.m. in the 4100 block of Memorial Drive. Police did not identify the pharmacy, but the person who answered the phone at the Rite Aid Pharmacy on that block said he was present during the robbery. He did not identify himself and did not wish to discuss the incident, saying only that "it wasn't a big deal."

Witnesses described the suspect as a black man around 50 years old, about 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing 180 pounds. He had salt-and-pepper hair and wore a grey shirt and sweatpants.
