Road project will close three lanes of I-75 overnight in Cobb for week

Plan a little extra time if you’re heading south from Cobb County on I-75 any night between now and Valentine’s Day.

Because from now until then there will be at times three lanes of the interstate closed from north of Windy Hill Road to Windy Ridge Parkway, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

This is all for bridgework on the Northwest Corridor Express Lanes project.

Two lanes will close from 11 p.m. to midnight and then a third lane will shut down from midnight until 5 a.m., GDOT said.

Motorists should expect delays.
