The College Park City Council meets at 7:30 p.m. July 17 at City Hall, 3667 Main St. about several measures, including a request for approval to expense funds in order to remove and relocate the electrical distribution systems on Godby Road between Southampton Road and West Fayetteville Road.

The work is part of the Clayton County Transportation and Development and the Georgia Department of Transportation’s Godby Road Widening Project.

Additional items include requests for approval:

  • for a one year contract extension with Legacy Mechanical Services Inc., for HVAC maintenance at the Georgia International Convention Center, as well as City Hall, Brady Recreation Center, the Public Safety Complex, the Tracey Wyatt Recreation Center, Conley Recreation Center and Fire Station No. 2;
  • to move forward with deploying technology for Fire Station No. 3, which includes voice, data, cabling and access control needs;
  • to replace metal storm sewer pipe at Richard D. Zupp Park, as part of the Hawthorne Avenue Drainage Pipe Rehabilitation Project.
