Road closure announced for culvert work in Henry County
Henry County officials haven’t given a date for the expected road reopening of Mt. Bethel Road.
Henry County government officials announced the closing of Mt. Bethel Road near the intersection with Stroud Road and Woodstown Road beginning Dec. 18 for culvert replacement work.
The actual closure is just west of the 1803 Mt. Bethel Road driveway. During closure there will be a detour in place that includes Mt. Bethel Rd, Hwy. 81, Keys Ferry Road and Stroud Road.
No expected reopening date was given. The road will remain closed until culvert placement is complete and roadway placed back in a passable condition, according to an announcement on the Henry County government’s Facebook page.
