The Locust Grove City Council voted at its Jan. 7 regular meeting to approve two rezoning requests for large portions of land.

A 264.1-acre site along Price Drive west of I-75 was rezoned from residential-agricultural to light manufacturing for a multi-million-square-foot warehouse development, and a 42.5-acre tract between Singley Circle and the eastern edge of the Berkeley Lake subdivision was rezoned for a planned residential development.

Also approved were a plat for the Locust Grove Estates subdivision and a number of board appointments at the council’s first meeting of the new year.
