Renewal of a land use permit for an equine therapy business for foster children has been approved by the Cobb County Board of Commissioners for another two years.

Spurs of Hope, Inc. is owned by George Andrew Montgomery, Jr. on 10.5 acres at 151 Laura Lake Road at the western end of Laura Lake Drive and west of Bells Ferry Road.

Only by appointment, hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays with no signs.

Around 20 children visit each week.

One employee and one independent contractor are on site.

Clients must park on the property.

There have been no neighborhood complaints.
