The Gwinnett County Tax Commissioner’s Office wants to remind you that you don’t have to stop social distancing to get your taxes done.

“We understand that people want to exercise caution right now,” said Tax Commissioner Richard Steele in a press release. “While we’re here to serve, we also want to make sure Gwinnett residents know that they can conduct most of their motor vehicle and property tax business from the comfort of home.”

Residents can renew their tags, file a change of address, pay insurance fines, pay property taxes, apply for a homestead exemption and complete many other tasks from home using GwinnettTaxCommissioner.com.

Many stores had lines inside and even outside on Friday.
