Have stacks of papers you don’t need piling up in your office?

How about that bag of clothes you don’t wear anymore stashed in the corner of your closet?

You can get rid of those things and more at a recycling event in Johns Creek. The city, in partnership with Keep Johns Creek Beautiful, is hosting a shredding and recycling even on June 16 at 11360 Lakefield Drive.

Document shredding will be on-site from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and folks can also recycle cooking oils, fats, grease and fluorescent bulbs. Gently-used clothes can be donated too.

The event is free, but for non-residents of Johns Creek, there is a $5 fee to recycle light bulbs.

Electronic items will not be accepted for recycling.
