Rape reported at Gwinnett apartment complex
A woman told police she was raped by a mask-wearing man who apparently entered her apartment through an open door, Gwinnett County police said Tuesday.
The alleged assault occurred March 18 between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. at the Bristol Court apartments near Norcross, police said. The victim, whose name is not being disclosed, was able to seek help from a neighbor, who contacted police, according to a letter to complex residents obtained by Channel 2 Action News.
Investigators have canvassed the area, but have not yet identified a suspect, Cpl. Jake Smith with Gwinnett police said Tuesday. Investigators believe the suspect entered the woman's apartment through an unlocked patio door.
