Rain from tropical storm Nicole will leave slippery roads for morning commuters and will usher in the first real taste of fall weather as it moves out.

The rain will linger throughout the morning before clearing out Thursday afternoon, said Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Karen Minton. There is no more rain in the forecast through Monday, according to Minton.

High temperatures will be in the mid- to high 70s today through Saturday, then drop to about 70 Sunday and Monday.

Minton is calling for lows in the high 40s Sunday and Monday -- the first time it will drop below 50 since last spring.
