Monday will feel — and sound — like spring, but at least it’ll be wet.
The rain that drenched the metro area on Sunday will continue through Monday, with up to two inches of rain expected, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz.
Morning showers will turn heavy in the afternoon, Nitz said, with possible thunderstorms developing.
The much-needed precipitation should continue into the early evening, with temperatures nearing 70 degrees. Cooler temperatures and sunny skies will return on Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs in the low 60s and lows in the 40s.
Nitz said there’s a good chance or more rain by Thursday, possibly lingering through Friday. Temperatures will remain mild, however, with highs in the 60s.
