After a three-week delay CSX begins maintenance—mostly rail tie replacement—on the Decatur railroad crossings at College Avenue and McDonough Street and College and Candler Street Monday. The McDonough crossing will be closed Monday and Tuesday, Candler on Tuesday and Wednesday. City spokesperson Casie Yoder said CSX will try to get McDonough finished by noon Tuesday to minimize the time when both crossings are closed concurrently. Drivers, cyclists and pedestrians will detour at either the Commerce Drive underpasses, or further west at the Atlanta Avenue crossing, whose repairs were finished this week.
