The Georgia Department of Transportation and Forsyth County will hold an open house public meeting 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Lanier Technical College Forsyth Conference Center, 3410 Ronald Reagan Blvd. in Cumming. There will be discussion on plans to improve traffic flow at the intersection of Ga. 400 and McGinnis Ferry Road.

GDOT engineers and consultants will be on hand to explain what the roadwork entails, but there won’t be a formal presentation.

The project includes construction of an interchange at Ga. 400 and McGinnis Ferry, widening of 400 extending south and widening of and operational improvements along McGinnis Ferry. The project is in a preliminary engineering phase, officials say.
