A proposed 63-unit mix of townhomes and single- family residences comes before Decatur’s commission 7:30 p.m. Monday at the City Commission Meeting Room, 509 N. McDonough St.

The four-acre site is on the corner of South Columbia Drive and Katie Kerr Drive, just inside the city’s southeastern boundaries.

On Tuesday the city’s planning commission recommended approving the project, including rezoning the mostly wooded area from commercial to multi-family residential.

Also, since the planning commission’s initial review in July, the developers made revisions based on public feedback. These include reducing the number of units and eliminating on-street parking, an internal roundabout and a commercial component.
