Fulton County Commissioners met with leaders of the county criminal-justice system Wednesday to try and head off a fight next fall. The county is projecting a $107 million shortfall in 2012 and the justice system -- including the sheriff, district attorney, public defender and courts -- makes up more than third of the $600 million general fund in this fiscal year. The commissioners want the largely elected justice officials to develop a plan to cut costs.
