College Park has started the preliminary work on a new road connector to Camp Creek Parkway at Airport Drive next to the RaceTrac fueling station. Funding for the project comes from the Fulton County SPLOST. Engineering work is now underway so that cres may locate utility lines before the road is cut. See photos and a video of the initial road work.
Eventually, the Georgia Department of Transportation will begin construction on a $10 million Diverging Diamond Interchange to serve Camp Creek Parkway at its intersection with I-285. The Community Improvment Districts are consulted Kimley-Horn & Associates to design bridge and landscaping enhancements to create a distinctive gateway for the area. The project is in final design and is anticipated to begin construction in summer or fall of 2018.
