A Carroll County church was destroyed by fire early Tuesday, authorities said.
Glenn Allen, spokesman for the state Department of Insurance, said the blaze broke out around 4:30 a.m. at Bethesda Baptist Church on Bethesda Church Road southwest of Carrollton.
Allen said state fire investigators, as well as officials with the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, are looking into the cause of the fire.
No injuries were reported in the blaze.
