The Cherokee County School District has set prekindergarten registration for programs at several district schools for early May.
School officials said open enrollment is set for 9.a.m to noon weekdays from May 2-13 at Ball Ground, Canton, Hasty, Oak Grove and R.M. Moore elementary schools and at the Johnston Elementary Preschool Center.
Names will then be drawn at each school on May 18 to fill available spaces. Students who are four years old on or before Sept. 1 are eligible to enroll in Pre-K.
Parents and guardians will need to bring proof of date of birth, health and immunization screening records and proof of residency and the child’s Social Security number.
