The jackpot for Saturday’s Powerball lottery climbed above a quarter-billion dollars after no players matched all six numbers in Wednesday night’s drawing.
A top prize of $270 million is up for grabs Saturday, Georgia Lottery officials said.
The numbers drawn Wednesday night were 21, 22, 26, 30 and 57, and the Power Ball was 27.
Lottery players won’t have to wait until Saturday night for a shot at a huge payday, though. The jackpot for Friday night’s Mega Millions multi-state lottery stands at $154 million.
The Mega Millions jackpot has been growing since a player in Ohio won $41 million on March 12.
The Powerball jackpot has been climbing since March 30, when an Illinois player won $50 million.
