A new police chief for Powder Springs will be chosen from two city employees who have applied for that position, Interim City Manager Pam Conner said during Monday night’s city council meeting.
Charlie Sewell retired on Dec. 31 after serving in law enforcement for 42 years.
John Robison, the deputy police chief, has been serving as the interim police chief.
Now that choice is between Robison and Lt. Michael Cochran, Conner said.
Both men will be interviewed next week, she added.
