Powder Springs city officials plan to rezone six properties.

Public hearings on these proposals will be 7:30 p.m. Nov. 24 at the Council Chamber, 4488 Pineview Drive before the Planning and Zoning Commission and at 7 p.m. Dec. 1, also in the Council Chamber, by the Mayor and City Council.

City officials want to rezone 3900 Thomas St., 4505 Atlanta St., 3921 Murray Ave. and vacant property on Thomas Street from light industrial to central business district.

They also want to rezone 4004 Butner St. and 3988 Anderson St. from LI to R-15, where 2.3 units would be allowed per acre of single-family detached houses with minimum lot sizes of 15,000 square feet.

Anyone who desires to speak at a public hearing is required to disclose campaign contributions to the Community Development Department five days before the hearing.
