Powder Springs to close roads for Christmas Parade

Powder Springs will close six roads for the Christmas Parade on Dec. 6.
To be closed from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. will be:
- Atlanta Street from Dillard Street to Old Austell Road
- Old Austell Road from Atlanta Street to Marietta Street
- Marietta Street from Old Austell Road to Old Lost Mountain Road
- Old Lost Mountain Road from Powder Springs Dallas Road to Jackson Way
- Jackson Way from Old Lost Mountain Road to Oakview Drive
- City Hall parking lot
The parade will start at 6:30 p.m. and move down Marietta Street from Old Austell Road to City Hall.
After the parade about 7:30 p.m., Santa will light the Christmas tree in front of City Hall - a change in location this year while the city’s new downtown park is under construction.
Then enjoy free cookies, cocoa and photos with Santa.
