The Powder Springs City Council voted 5-0 Monday to add security equipment to the city’s Community Development building at 4488 Pineview Drive to monitor anyone entering the council chambers for meetings.
Knine All Systems Inc. will be paid $5,000 to install the monitoring equipment, the same system, for the same amount, used at the municipal court building, 4483 Pineview Drive.
In 2013, Knine was paid $19,638 by the city to install 24 security cameras at the senior center, 4181 Atlanta St. after a break-in and at the city’s Public Works facility, 3006 Springs Industrial Drive.
