Additional projects have been approved for the Silver Comet Trail Linear Park improvements in Powder Springs.
The Powder Springs City Council will pay nearly $20,152 to LandCare USA to perform additional landscaping and grounds maintenance work at the park on Richard D. Sailors Parkway.
Also, the Council has awarded a $110,000 contract to USA Shade and Fabric Structures of Dallas, Texas to supply and install shade structures at the playgrounds.
Funding for these shade structures is scheduled to come from the 2018 Community Development Block Grant program and the city’s parks and recreation impact fee program.
