The Fayette County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for one open seat on the Water Committee. The advisory board meets at 8 a.m. on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at the Water System’s office at 245 McDonough Road in Fayetteville. Its duties include discussing and making recommendations about system improvements, water quality, bid openings and related concerns. The open seat is an unpaid position whose term will be determined by the commission; applicants must have lived in Fayette County for at least six months. Applications, available from Tameca White at twhite@fayettecountyga.gov or at www.fayettecountyga.gov, must be submitted by Jan. 26.
