The Fayette County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for a volunteer position on the Region Six Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Addictive Diseases Regional Advisory Council.
The group meets from 1 to 4 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every other month at the Upson County Senior Center in Thomaston. It assists the Region Six office in preparing an annual plan for providing disabilities services, including working with families and providers to determine needs and priorities.
The current open term would begin immediately and expire in February 2021; applicants must be consumers of disability services, family members of consumers, or advocates or business leaders with an interest in behavioral health.
