With a small change to its purchasing policy, Dunwoody recently became officially more environmentally friendly.

The city altered its purchasing policy to say that municipal departments will buy office-supply paper with recycled content.

The city already does that, often buying fully recycled paper, said city Finance Director Chris Pike.

However, the tweak is expected to give the city points toward a Green Certification program through the Atlanta Regional Commission.
