Sandy Springs police are searching for two suspects who they believe broke into a house and stole about $20,000 in jewelry on Saturday, July 8.
Police arrived at the home near Brixham Court just a bit after 5:30 a.m. on Saturday. The homeowner, who was out of town, saw the suspects on his home security cameras through a feed and called police.
Once inside, the suspects used a pillow case to remove a jewelry box which belonged to the homeowner’s wife, according to an incident report. Several dresser drawers had been rummaged through as well.
Police said the suspects moved three of the homeowner’s front surveillance cameras and then entered the home by breaking a small glass window on the rear patio.
A pair of loppers, typically used for pruning branches, were found on the scene and police believe they were used to enter the home. Police were unable to collect any fingerprints.
