Sandy Springs police are looking for a car that was seen at two home burglaries on Tuesday.

Sgt. Sam Worsham said that the car is a dark colored Chevrolet Impala. He did not say what was taken from the homes.

The burglaries happened on Abernathy and Johnson Ferry roads. Detectives are still investigating.

Police did not have a description of the suspect driving the car.

In one incident, police said, a neighbor saw the car back in to a driveway nearby. The neighbor then heard banging. It was later discovered that the front door had been kicked in and the house was burglarized.

Police urge residents to call 911 when they need to report anything to the police department. The Sandy Springs Police Department does not have a non-emergency number.

“If you see something that doesn’t look right, sound right or feel right, please call 911 right away,” Worsham said. “We need your help in being good neighbors and watching out for each other.”
