Police raided a Johns Creek massage parlor for the second time in less than two weeks Thursday.
It happened at Sapphire Massage on Medlock Bridge Road. Channel 2 Action News was there as undercover agents searched two cars that police said belong to two women they arrested inside. The owner insists there's no illegal activity.
"I saw a ton of police cars, DEA with their jackets on, masks, the whole nine (yards), broke the door down," Terrence Napier told Channel 2's Liz Artz.
He said his general manager, Contessa Grant, was arrested for operating without a permit and sexually oriented business. She's being held on $3,500 bond. Artz was with Napier as he was headed to bail her out.
"They got all up in the roof. They tore the place up. They took all the cameras down. They took everybody's computers. They took all the girls' car keys, cash. The girls couldn't call home," Napier said.
Napier said the business sells oils and offers body rubs. He maintains nothing sexual in nature is going on.
"No, I don't have prostitutes in this business, not dealing drugs," Napier said.
Napier said he opened for business June 15, and he had 30 days to apply for a business license. The first raid, in which Sapphire was shut down, happened July 9. His application was submitted Wednesday.
"They accepted it, took it in with all the documentation and everything, and they kicked in the door today," Napier said.
Police said every massage parlor is required to have a business license the day it opens, and masseurs need special permits to do their work. The case remains under investigation.
