A young man who had been shot to death was found dead beside a Bartow County road Sunday. But days later, investigators still don’t know who is or who shot him.

Deputies were called early Sunday to the 100 block of Bells Ferry Road, where they found the man, believed to be between 16 and 21, Sgt. Jonathan Rogers said. The man is believed to be from the Atlanta area and was 5-feet-8 inches tall and weighed 162 pounds, Rogers said.

The victim had a scar on his upper right arm from a previous small-caliber gunshot wound and a tattoo on his left upper arm of four dots in a diamond shape, Rogers said. He wearing a white T-shirt, black and red jeans, a red belt, black and gold shoes, and a red bandana in his back pocket. The man was also wearing a red “Everest” backpack with the word “Cierra” written on the back, according to police.
