The man found dead outside a Henry County Wal-Mart has been identified as Saturnino “Tony” Tamez, police said Thursday. Now, police want to find a mother and son that were last seen with Tamez.

Tamez, 67, of Stockbridge was found in was found early Saturday in a van parked at the store on Hudson Bridge Road, according to Henry County police. He had been shot in the head.

Investigators are seeking the public’s help in locating the two individuals that were last seen with Tamez, who is originally from Texas, according to Sgt. Joey Smith with Henry police.

The people of interest are Marta Luz Diaz, 54, and her son, Jose Trinidad Bercian-Diaz, 32, and both have ties to Guatemala, Smith said.
