Police in Sandy Springs are searching for a man who they believe pulled out a gun and threatened another man in a road rage incident Friday.

The altercation occurred before 3:45 p.m. on Roswell Road near Cliftwood Drive and an I-285 exit ramp, according to a police report.

The victim, a 25-year-old man from Kennesaw, says a man in a black Mercedes began honking his horn when the victim was stopping to let a pedestrian cross the road. The victim told police he waved the man in the Mercedes to go around him after the pedestrian had crossed, but the driver got out of his car with a gun in his hand.

The suspect told the victim multiple times that he would kill him before returning and driving away, the report said.

The victim took a photo of the suspect’s car and license plate. He told police the suspect was about 5-foot-9 with short dark hair.
