Police are searching for a crew of three men who attempted to burglarize five Gwinnett gas stations on Sunday. Police believe this may be related to a previous incident.

Police in Gwinnett County are asking for the public’s help to identify a crew that attempted to burglarize five gas stations in one night.

The crimes occurred early Sunday morning, between the hours of 4:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. Police said the crews hit stores in Buford, Duluth and Lilburn.

Police said that the three suspects caused more than $2,500 worth of damage to the stores and stole more than $1,000 in cash and cigarettes. In two incidents, the suspects just caused damage and did not gain access to the stores.

In each burglary, police said, two suspects used a crowbar to smash glass and enter the store, while the third suspect served as the getaway driver and waited in a vehicle. Police say that vehicle was a black or grey four-door sedan and is possibly a Chrysler 300.

Detectives believe that this crime spree is related to recent gas station burglaries committed involving a red Chrysler 300. In those incidents, suspects robbed two gas stations in Norcross and stole $20,000 in cash and cigarettes.

Police described one suspect as having a medium build, wearing a light gray hoodie, dark gray shirt, black pants, black shoes, black gloves and a black mask. The second suspect is described as having a medium build, wearing a light gray hoodie, black and blue shirt, dark blue pants, gray shoes, blue gloves and a blue mask. The third suspect, the driver, was described by police as having a medium build, wearing black clothing and black headwear.
