Typically, police officers and firefighters get along.
But on Sept. 23 in Johns Creek, they’ll be engaged in a full-on food fight in Newtown Park.
Johns Creek police officers and firefighters will square off in their annual culinary competition, the “Big Green Egg Battle.” The event will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., and tickets are $10.

The two teams will compete to create the most delicious cuisine on the outdoor cookers.
Attendees will judge the food, and the winner earns bragging rights and a trophy.

Raffle tickets will also be sold at the event. All proceeds from raffle and admission ticket sales will benefit the Johns Creek Public Safety Foundation, which was formed in 2008 to assist police officers and firefighters who were injured in the line of duty.
Tickets can be purchased online at Johns Creek's website.
