Fayette County’s planning commission needs to fill an unexpired term on its five-member board.
The commission makes recommendations regarding zoning ordinances and rezoning, as well as approves plats and considers variances for subdivision, floodplain and watershed regulations. Members meet twice monthly and are compensated $75 per meeting.
Candidates must be county residents and not hold any other public office, but may also serve on the Zoning Board of Appeals. The term begins upon appointment and runs through December 2016.
