UPDATE: J Buffalo Wings was reinspected Thursday and scored a 90/A. The restaurant was cited for new violations including, the plumbing system being in disrepair, the latest inspection report wasn't posted and a toxic item was stored near food.
ORIGINAL STORY (Published June 22): A wings restaurant failed a recent health inspection, with officials noting pink buildup inside an ice machine and black buildup in a soda nozzle and lemonade dispenser.
J Buffalo Wings, located at 3730 Carmia Dr. SW, scored a 69/U following the Monday evaluation; 69 and below is considered failing. Its prior score, in September, was an 85.
According to the report, trash bags were used to cover raw chicken in a walk-in cooler.

Officials also reported “food debris/buildup and/or standing water on floors throughout food prep areas.”
A woman who answered the phone at the restaurant Thursday afternoon said a manager was not immediately available for comment.
Follow-up inspections are generally completed within 10 days of the original evaluation.
