Following a public hearing, the Peachtree Corners city council voted recently to amend its zoning and request a condition be removed from Gwinnett County that was prohibiting pet shops and grooming establishments in the Ingles Shopping Center at 5075 Peachtree Pkwy. The vote will allow Passion Fur Pups pet grooming shop to stay in the shopping center in the Jones Bridge Square Plaza.

Conditions for approval include ensuring the parking lot, sidewalks, and landscaped areas within 100 feet of the business in all directions will be kept free of dog waste. The grooming business may not allow overnight stays or a kennel-type business in the location. Signage for the business must also be in line with city code and the city’s Activity Center/Corridor Overlay District standards.

The applicants, Sylvia White and Alyssa Peterson, must also install and maintain a pet relief area in the rear of the business.
