A person died when a vehicle struck a tree early Friday on East Main Street, just west of Breeze Hill Lane in Canton, police said.
The vehicle was traveling west on East Main Street about 4 a.m. when it left the roadway and stuck the tree, Canton police spokesman Pacer Cordry said.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the crash.
