One person died, and another was burned early Wednesday in a mobile home fire in Hall County, authorities said.

Hall County Fire Marshal Scott Cagle said firefighters responding to the 12:36 a.m. call of a residential fire in the 6200 block of Malibu Ridge near Flowery Branch found “heavy fire conditions showing” on a single-wide trailer.

He said the mobile home’s occupants advised fire crews of a female possibly still in the trailer.

“Fire crews made an interior attack, knocking down the fire while searching the residence,” Cagle said in an email. “While battling the blaze, fire crews did locate a deceased female occupant in a bedroom.”

He said one male occupant received burns and lacerations while escaping, and was flown to the Grady Memorial Hospital burn center. Two other adults were able to escape without serious injury.

While the cause of the fire has not been determined, “there is nothing that is suspicious at this time,” Cagle said.
