Gwinnett Commissioners agreed to a special use permit Dec. 15 for a U-Haul truck business in the Davenport Center at the northeast corner of the intersection of Old Norcross Road and Davenport Road, just east of Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth.

The permit limits the number of trucks to no more than four on the lot at a time. Rental trucks can be no larger than 17-foot box trucks, and must be parked to the rear of the building at all times. Tow-behind rental trailers are prohibited.

No tents, canopies, temporary banners, streamers or roping decorated with flags, tinsel, or other similar material can be displayed, hung, or strung on the site. No decorative balloons or hot-air balloons can be displayed. Yard and/or bandit signs, sign-walkers and sign-twirlers are also prohibited.

The special use permit is valid for one year.
