Engineering design work on two sections of Peeksville Road will proceed simultaneously, meaning one part will happen a year ahead of schedule.
The SPLOST paving project from New Hope Road to Old Jackson Road was actually two projects divided by the Tussahaw Creek bridge, and the section going to Old Jackson was originally scheduled for 2016.
Bids were awarded for both projects totaling almost $215,000 by a Nov. 3 vote of the Board of Commissioners.
