In the next few weeks, Peachtree Corners will begin an assessment of traffic conditions and recommend improvements to several busy intersections. The projects, to evaluate the intersection’s geometry, signal timing and pedestrian facilities, will be funded by the 2013 SPLOST.

The first project is a joint SPLOST project with Gwinnett County DOT, covering the Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Holcomb Bridge Road intersection.

The next project involves analysis of four intersections along State Route 141: Spalding Drive, Peachtree Corners Circle, the entrance to the Forum/Town Center Developments and East Jones Bridge Road.

The third project will evaluate Peachtree Corners Circle at Medlock Bridge Road and Peachtree Corners Circle at Eastman Trail. The Medlock Bridge Road intersection will include a feasibility study for a traffic roundabout.

In addition, Peachtree Corners and Johns Creek have agreed to undertake a joint study of the S.R. 141 corridor with the goal to optimize existing intersections and determine key projects.

Peachtree Corners has applied for an Atlanta Regional Commission project to fund this study.
