The Peachtree Corners city council reviewed plans Feb. 16 to rezone ten parcels, or about 38.73 acres, known as the Twin Lakes project to allow commercial, multi-family and trail development. Plans would include demolition of two office buildings overlooking a lake on Technology Parkway near Peachtree Industrial Boulevard to build a multi-use development and a portion of the city’s multi-use trail.

Plans include 295 one and two-bedroom apartments geared to young professionals. Site amenities will include a pedestrian and bike trail, fitness facility, a dog park, an electric car recharge station, and a lake dock. Approximately 15.07 acres would be set aside for trails and open space and close to nine acres would become commercial property. The proposed development, to be called Twin lakes at Technology Park, would be developed by TPA Group and Belmont Associates, LLC.

The city council will have a second read and public hearing to consider the zoning changes on March 15.
