Peachtree Corners received 5 construction bids for the city’s Technology Parkway Advanced Vehicle Lanes, part of the city’s Curiosity Lab, a 5G state-of-the-art test track for developing and demonstrating self-driving shuttles as well as serving as a testbed for Smart City technologies.

Archimetric Design & Construction, Inc., who recently completed sidewalks along Scientific Drive in Peachtree Corners, was the lowest bidder. The City Council voted to authorize the contract with Archimetric Design & Construction, Inc for a base bid amount of $1,859,477, plus $78,426 for an alternate Advanced Vehicle Turn Around, for a total of $1,937,903.

The Curiosity Lab at Peachtree Corners will consist of a 1.5-mile test track constructed within the 500-acre Technology Park. Launching in the spring of this year, the track will be used to develop and test self-driving shuttles as well as act as a testbed for advanced vehicles.
