City Council of Peachtree City will consider a Resolution of Intent to extend sewer service to Tyrone at a meeting 7 p.m. Thursday at City Hall.

The council heard a report on the proposal at a called meeting Tuesday night, in which City Manager Jon Rorie outlined the rationale for the expansion. The measure would limit Tyrone’s usage to 350,000 gallons per day, which Rorie said the Peachtree City system could accommodate even considering city growth.

Approval would be contingent upon provisions to be outlined in an intergovernmental agreement between the city, Tyrone and the Peachtree City Water and Sewerage Authority.
